The Christmas Truce 1914
On Christmas Eve, 1914, in certain sectors on the Western Front, a Christmas Truce broke out. Men from both sides lay down their arms, came out of the trenches, fraternising, exchanging gifts, and even playing impromptu football matches. Here are some videos about that unusual event.
