Off the Menu: Episode 6 - Chivalry, von Stauffenberg, and Monarchy

Originally uploaded on 12 August 2016. In discussing the Trans-Humanist movement, the Chevalier draws parallels with C.S. Lewis's The Abolition of Man, one of my favourite books from one of my absolutely favourite writers.

He has some interesting things to say about the possibility of the restoration of monarchies in Europe and a scathing denunciation of the modern United States in comparison to the Carthaginian Empire.

I have already posted the excerpt on the 'Most Catholic President', and whilst I have no candidate, I will repeat that I disagree with the Chevalier. George Washington was a Freemason and at best a Deist. How can an anti-Christian be considered Catholic?

His discussion of What killed Chivalry is absolutely fascinating! He and Mr Frankini discuss Chivalry, by Léon Gautier, which I first read over 50 years ago. It is a fascinating book, originally published in 1884.

The discussion of Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg is amazing. Not only does he discuss the moral implications of the plot to kill Hitler, but he goes into great detail about Hitler's ideology and how well he fits the 'liberal' ideology of the modern Western intelligentsia. He says that if you replace 'Jews' with 'the rich', he could probably run for President as a Democrat!

Here are the starting points of eaxh segment, if you'd like to skip anything.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
