Sort of good on Bishop Lopes! At least one Bishop admits he knew, but why he didn't say something?
I'm also sorry he had to throw a defence of Francis's heresy in. I can only assume that if he actually believes that "The Pope does not say, for example, ‘Capital punishment is an intrinsic moral evil,’ " he must also believe that “an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person” which is how Francis defines the death penalty, is not an intrinsic moral evil in every case.
Not sure what twisted logic can come to that conclusion, but obviously on Bishop Lopes' planet it can.
