Chevalier Charles Coulombe on Evangelizing in the Crisis of the Church

I have a protestant friend, who some ten years ago thought seriously of becoming a Catholic, but instead chose to remain a heretic, joining the Anglican sect. Yesterday he made a trenchant post on Facebook. It ties in closely with this video.

The 'Anglo-Catholic' Anglicans, with which my friend identifies, like to pretend that they are really Catholic. I refer to their 'clerics' as laymen playing dress up. So when Francis made his latest foray into anti-Catholicism, attacking Scripture, the Words of Christ therein, the Fathers, the Doctors of the Church, and every Pope who has ever addressed the problem (including his two extremely anti-death penalty predecessors), my friend remarked that Francis made him glad he had never become a Catholic!

This highlights the conundrum the questioner poses to the Chevalier. How do you evangelise when the Pope is an anti-Catholic who rejects the Doctrine of Christ's Church? He has some sound and profound advice on the subject.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
