As I've mentioned on several occasions, I am a great fan of the YouTube channel, The Great War.
As the centennial of the 1914-1918 War draws to an end, they will be ending the series. However, the videos will still be on YouTube. If you haven't checked them out, do! If you're at all interested in history, it is an amazing resource.
Not only have they done a week by week recap of the War, they've done countless specials, 'Who Did What...' biographical sketches of people who became well known in later times, Hitler, Ernest Hemingway, HM King George V, Lenin & Trotsky, etc, for a total of 58 episodes so far.
They've done over a hundred episodes of 'Out of the Trenches', in which Indy Neidel, the presenter, answers questions sent in by viewers, as well as dozens of specials on topics as diverse as animals in the War, health care at the Front, drug use and sex, and many other topics.
I can't recommend this channel highly enough. It's professionally done, and can be highly amusing as well as amazingly informative!

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
