A very dear friend of mine, a young Catholic husband and father has begun a blog. here's his own description of himself,
A Catholic father and husband enthusiastic for the faith, with particular interest in the liturgical life of the Church; strong opinions on tea (contra Belloc), wanna-be monk and once described as a walking talking "Catholic Wiki."He has only posted a few things, but all of it is extremely powerful! I highly recommend checking him out. You can find him at Super flumina Babylonis, or in my blogroll on the sidebar.
And here's his introductory post:
Introit
I'm a twenty-something married man with two children—a boy nearing two and a girl who's a hair's breadth away from one month old. I've exchanged my native concrete of the west of Scotland for the farmlands of upstate New York via an incredibly sobering experience in Ireland. I'm a stay-at-home dad with more time on his hands than is usually good for the male of the species, and am armed with a plentiful supply of tea. Consider yourself forewarned.
I hope to use this space to share and to chronicle my own experiences as a Christian father striving to live up to his vocation in a world that is increasingly hostile to the faith and the family, as well as using it as a platform to share my views and opinions on a range of subjects which interest me and that may interest you as well.
The name of this blog, Super flúmina Babylónis, was chosen because it's a psalm that I can relate to on many levels: as an immigrant who, by force of circumstance, has had to make his abode in another land and whose heart misses all that was dear and familiar; or as a Christian living in the world, which Babylon typified, pilgriming on his way through this vale of tears until he comes to rest in the abode of his heavenly fatherland, which was typified by Sion.
May God speed us all into the entrance of our eternal rest with Him in Sion!

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
