Rich Homosexual Baptises Surrogate Baby in Buenos Aires Cathedral

This is the culture Francis left behind after 15 years as Archbishop of Buenos Aires! I don't even know where to start!

An actively homosexual 'couple', I assume claiming to be 'married', are allowed to baptise 'their' child in a lavish ceremony in the Archdiocesan Cathedral? Don't get me wrong. I'm glad the child was baptised, even tho' it violates current Canon Law, to wit,
Can.  868 §1. For an infant to be baptized licitly:

2/ there must be a founded hope that the infant will be brought up in the Catholic religion; if such hope is altogether lacking, the baptism is to be delayed according to the prescripts of particular law after the parents have been advised about the reason.
Since there is no evidence that any of the child's 'three parents' believe in or practise the Catholic religion, I don't see how there can be a 'founded hope' that it will be 'brought up in the Catholic religion'.

Yes, I think that Canon is overly restrictive and wrong, but the child should have been baptised privately, with no gala show.

And, born of a surrogate? The last time I checked this was forbidden to Catholics because it treats the child as an object to which one has a right, not a subject with rights.

Oh well, in the words of the previous Ordinary of the Archdiocese, 'Who am I to judge?'

From Gloria.tv

The rich Argentinian homosexual choreographer Flavio Mendoza, 43, organised a show baptism for his surrogate baby in the Cathedral of Buenos Aires. Mendoza was accompanied by his current gay accomplice, Daniel Allodi, 32.

According to Clarín.com (August 5), Allodi, who is the owner of a solarium, played a leading role during the event.

The baby was born in April by a paid surrogate mother, a procedure costing up to 130'000 Dollars.

Mendoza celebrated the gay event in the cathedral with prominent guests and published the pictures later on Internet.

Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
