Pope Francis Prays For Success of Trump-Kim Jong-un Meeting

Fascinating! He didn't see fit to make a public statement, publicly pray, tweet, or in any other manner show his support for the unborn children of Ireland two weeks ago. Oh, and after the Irish voted to murder the defenceless, Francis is visiting them for the World Meeting of Families. A better witness would have been to say, 'Sorry. After that vote, I won't be coming to visit.'

From the Catholic Herald

Pope Francis has prayed for peace in Korea following the upcoming meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
Pilgrims gathered on Sunday, June 10, in St Peter’s Square for the recitation of the Angelus. This was followed by a call for the group to recite the Hail Mary together in order to pray for the two leaders.
“[I hope] the talks which will take place in the coming days in Singapore can contribute to the development of a positive path that guarantees a peaceful future for the Korean peninsula and for the whole world,” the Pope said.
Trump and Kim are set to talk on Tuesday, June 12 for the first-ever meeting between a North Korean leader and current US President.
Pope Francis previously mentioned peace for North Korea on April 29, at the Regina Caeli and sent a letter to church leaders in Korea to pray for the talks.
“Let us together invoke Our Lady, Queen of Korea. May she guide these talks,” the Pope said.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
