Tower of Babel vs Linguistics - the Quest for the First Language

This is a fascinating video, except for a glaring gap in logical reasoning. The fellow who makes these videos is attempting to debunk the story of the Tower of Babel. He fails miserably.

He argues that since there are language families, Indo-European, Finno-Ugric, etc., there was obviously no first language. He undermines his own case by the end of the video, but long before that he has already sapped his thesis.

He makes the point that languages change. In fact, he's made many, many videos dealing with the changes in various tongues. What he fails to address is the very real possibility that when God destroyed the Tower of Babel, Genesis 11:1-9, He created languages that became the parent tongues, such as Proto-Indo-European, and that they naturally diverged into the tongues we speak today.

(If his final point is correct, that a language which can be called 'Proto-World' existed, he's blown his thesis out of the water!)

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
