Today is the 95th birthday of a an orthodox Prelate, a valiant fighter for our Holy Faith, the rights of God and His Church, and for truth and goodness.His Excellency, René Henry Gracida, Bishop Emeritus of Corpus Christi, was born on this day in 1923. He has been kind enough to honour this Old Curmudgeon by sharing my blog, MUSINGS OF A 70+ YEAR OLD CURMUDGEON THAT RESONATE WITH THIS 94 YEAR OLD RETIRED BISHOP.

He was ordained Priest in 1959, and consecrated Bishop in 1972. Please say a prayer of thanksgiving for his long ministry and that God will grant him many more years! As our Polish brethren say, 'Sto lat!' May he live one hundred years!
