Chevalier Charles Coulombe Is SSPX Attendance Grave Disobedience?

I have just been involved in this argument on both Facebook and a forum in which I participate. I have never attended an SSPX Mass, tho' I once confessed to one of their Priests, and I do have friends who are regular attendees at SSPX Chapels. My answer to the question is 'No', and I'm pleased that the Chevalier agrees with me.

He explains his position based on Canon Law, and for the convenience of my readers, here are the Canons.

Canon 844, §2. reads,
Whenever necessity requires it or true spiritual advantage suggests it, and provided that danger of error or of indifferentism is avoided, the Christian faithful for whom it is physically or morally impossible to approach a Catholic minister are permitted to receive the sacraments of penance, Eucharist, and anointing of the sick from non-Catholic ministers in whose Churches these sacraments are valid.
The rather lengthy Canon 1333 is here.

I agree w/you, Sir, and Mr. Coulombe, with regards the FSSPX. And I enjoy your blog, very much!

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
