Another Traditional Order Destroyed?

It's no wonder. They took in novices from the FFI when the latter was destroyed. That must have made Francis quite angry!

Vatican Commissions the Italian Familia Christi

The flourishing Italian Old Rite community Familia Christi was put under a commissioner by Cardinal Luis Ladaria, the prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (December 1). This confirmed voices that have been circulating for months.

The new Familia Christi superior will now be the Roman Auxiliary Bishop Daniele Libanori SJ, 65. The actual superior is removed.

The Familia Christi was founded by the excellent Bishop Luigi Negri of Ferrara, Italy. Pope Francis sent him into retirement in February 2017 immediately after his 75th birthday.

Only a year later the Vatican persecution of the Familia Christi started with a visitation followed by a process of "collecting information”.

Now the commissioner must determine “possible future paths” for the group [i.e. whether the Vatican wants to destroy the Familia Christi or to transform into something else].

In 2013, the Familia Christi received a group of former novices of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate who left before the friars were put under a commissary in July 2013. This angered the Vatican very much.

In the last years, Francis has destroyed several flourishing communities like the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate, the Little Sisters of Mary. They were "guilty" of being Catholic.
