Plenary Indulgence Reminders: Te Deum on Dec. 31 Veni Creator on Jan. 1

Whilst I will not be able to gain the indulgence since my Parish will not have them, I shall the Te Deum privately at Mass this evening, and again at home at midnight, and the Veni Creator tomorrow at home.

From Rorate Caeli

26
§ 1. A plenary indulgence is granted to the Christian faithful who, in a church or in an oratory, are present in a recitation or solemn chant of: ...

1° the hymn Veni Creator ... on the first day of the year, imploring divine assistance for the whole of the coming year...
2° the Te Deum hymn, on the last day of the year, in thanksgiving to God for the favors received in the course of the entire year.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
