Claus Philipp Maria Justinian Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg (November 15th, 1907 – July 21st, 1944), was a Catholic, a monarchist, a Wehrmacht officer, and an aristocrat who was one of the leading members of the failed 20 July plot of 1944 to assassinate Adolf Hitler and remove the Nazi Party from power. Along with Henning von Tresckow and Hans Oster, he was one of the central figures of the German Resistance movement within the Wehrmacht. For his involvement in the movement, he was shot shortly after the failed attempt known as Operation Valkyrie.
It seems odd to post the Ode of Remembrance for an enemy officer, but in Graf von Stauffenberg's case, in the last analysis, he fell in defence of our Græco-Roman Catholic Civilisation and Culture, so I feel that it is appropriate.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
May his memory be eternal!
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon him.
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
