Merry Christmas From Ayn Rand (Sort of Satire)

Ayn Rand may be the only thinker ever to carry laissez-faire capitalism to it's logical conclusion. It lead her, inevitably, to atheism and a fierce hatred of all organised religion, but especially Christianity. Of course, despite her fame as a 'right-wing' ideologue, the  founder of the pseudo-philosophy of 'objectivism', and a primary 'philosopher' of anarcho-capitalist libertarianism, her background may have had something to do with her anti-religious stance.

She was educated in Marxist history at the Petrograd State University in the Soviet Union (now St Petersburg State University in St Petersburg, Russia). I'm sure her thorough grounding in the evil philosophy of Marxism was a major factor in forming her anti-religious philosophy.  The materialistic school of history denies the existence of any spiritual component in human affairs, whether God, the soul, or the existence of an objective morality, just as laissez-faire capitalism inevitably does.

Over the next 25 days leading up to Christmas, each day I'm going to post a 'Christmas card' bearing a quote from Rand. The texts are actual quotes from her on a Christmas card background.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
