Yes, I know that in English, the capital of Ukraine is Kiev, but why? Kiev is a Russian name. Its name is Kyiv! One channel I was watching got Lviv right, not calling it Lvov, Lwów, or Lemberg, but the presenter still called Kyiv Kiev. Patriarch Sviatoslav is Metropolitan of Kyiv, not of Kiev!
And, the Великий князь who converted the Rus is Святий Володимир Великий, (Saint Volodymyr the Great), not Vladimir!
