Who attended? Here they are, both British and Foreign Royals. (There are many more pictures in the linked article that I did not even attempt to format.)

On Monday, September 19, London will be crammed with politicians, foreign dignitaries and mourners as the nation says goodbye to Britain's longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. The new King will be hosting a historic reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of the Queen's funeral, and many foreign royals are expected to attend.

Which royals will attend the Queen's funeral?

All of the Queen's children and grandchildren are expected to attend her state funeral on September 19.

This includes King Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward and their respective spouses.

The Queen's eight grandchildren are Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn.

Royal spouses likely to attend include Kate, Princess of Wales, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Mike Tindall, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank.

At the moment, it is not clear if all of the Queen's 12 great-grandchildren will attend.

Other royals we can expect to attend are the Queen's niece and nephew, Lady Sarah Chatto and the Earl of Snowdon, whose mother was the late Princess Margaret.

The Queen's cousins may also attend with their families, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra, Prince Michael of Kent and Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester.

Which foreign royals will attend the Queen's funeral?

King Felipe VI and his wife Queen Letizia of Spain are expected to pay tribute to the Queen at her funeral on Monday.

The Spanish royals share a close bond with the British Royal Family, with Felipe penning a heartfelt note to 'Aunt Lilibet' when Prince Philip died last year.

Former King of Spain, Juan Carlos I, and his wife Queen Sofia have also reportedly accepted an invitation to the funeral. King Juan Carlos abdicated in favour of his son Felipe in 2014.

Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Queen Elizabeth II were the only two Queen regnants in Europe before the Queen's death earlier this month.

Held in very high regard by the late monarch, Queen Margrethe will undoubtedly wish to pay her respects at the state funeral.

Margrethe will be joined by her son and heir, Crown Prince Frederick of Denmark.

The Queen's second cousin King Harald V of Norway is expected to attend the monarch's funeral on Monday with his wife Queen Sonja.

Harald's grandmother was Queen Maud of Norway, the daughter of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra.

Representing Monaco, Prince Albert is expected to attend the service with his wife Princess Charlene.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium will also attend, as will King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima and Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands.

Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan will be attending the service at Westminster Abbey.

Chief cabinet secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said: “The British Royal Family and our imperial family enjoy a long and close relationship, one that stretches back three generations from the current emperor, to the emperor emeritus (former Emperor Akihito), to Emperor Showa."

King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden are also on the guest list for the event, as is King Abdullah II of Jordan.

Other attendees include the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, King Jigme and Queen Jetsun of Bhutan, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, Hereditary Prince Alois and Hereditary Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein and Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.

Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will attend, as will Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia, King Tupou VI of Tonga, Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania and Prince Radu.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
