Italy: Policewoman Attacked and Raped by Illegal Migrant

If the police can not protect themselves against the jihadist invaders, how are they supposed to protect the Italian people? C'mon Giorgia!

Responding to the attack, Lega chief Matteo Salvini said: “Rape and attempted murder on a policewoman in Naples, foreign citizen arrested. Anyone who rapes a woman or a child must be put in a position not to do it again, for the rest of his days.”

A military-aged Bangladeshi national living in Italy illegally—known to authorities for past criminal offenses—has been arrested and accused of aggravated rape and attempted murder on a young female police officer in the city of Naples.

The attack, which took place at around midnight last Wednesday as the victim had been walking alone to her car after finishing a shift, saw the 23-year-old Bangladeshi man approach her from behind before striking her over the head with a stone and raping her in the parking area at the Port of Naples, the newspaper Corriere del Mezzogiorno reports.

A short while later, the victim, after being discovered by agents of the General Prevention Office of the Neapolitan Police Headquarters, was taken to the Napels’ Caradelli hospital, where doctors treated her before discharging her the following day.

Fortunately, only minutes after the assault and rape had taken place, the female police office had the wherewithal to provide investigators with a description of the assailant, and indicated the direction in which he fled. Shortly thereafter, based on this information, authorities managed to track down and arrest the perpetrator, who was then charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.

News of the disturbing attack prompted strong reactions from center-Right politicians—both local and national—as well as top police union officials. 

“By now the measure is full. The inability to manage public order is now blatant, and this situation is intolerable,” said center-Right municipal councilor Catello Maresca. 

Maresca continued: 

In a few days we will finally have a minister of the interior to whom we can address our demands. Someone who will intervene with facts and not with the useless parades and form protocols that we have also always criticized.

The story of last night, yet another episode of violence, gives us the image of a city now abandoned to itself, in which the institutions are absent and distant spectators of a spectacle unworthy for a civilized country. There is a lack of adequate response in every sector. I am ready to participate in the permanent table on security that I asked to set up at the first session of the City Council, a year ago. Naples is now a national emergency.

Matteo Salvini, the leader of the Lega, also chimed in on the matter, suggesting that the perpetrator should receive in a life sentence if convicted. 

“Rape and attempted murder on a policewoman in Naples, foreign citizen arrested. Anyone who rapes a woman or a child must be put in a position not to do it again, for the rest of his days,” Salvini said.

In a joint statement, Vera Buonomo and Robert Massimo, the leaders of police unions in Campania and Naples, wrote: 

Condemning and being indignant at the episodes of violence is not enough, more attention is needed especially during the hours in which the city empties. We are close to the young woman victim… and we will continue to denounce the lack of men and means in the area, but also the need for an adequate video surveillance system, as already present in many European cities. Now is the time to be present, don’t leave the policewoman alone, give her the right moral and psychological support.

Imma Vietri, a deputy for national-conservative Fratelli d’Italia (FdL), in statement expressed solidarity with the victim and inveighed against the liberal-globalist politicians who, through their pro-mass migration policies, have allowed the security situation in Italy to deteriorate to the point where female police officers are being raped in the streets by illegal migrants.

Vietri’s statement reads:

I express my solidarity and human closeness to the young policewoman attacked and raped by an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh in the port of Naples

Unfortunately, the long series of sexual violence against women continues at the hands of savage immigrants who, thanks to the nefarious policies of wide open ports adopted by governments in recent years, continue unimpeded to commit crimes in our nation. I am sure that, with the future center-Right government, security and the fight against illegal immigration will once again be at the center of the political agenda. Dramatic episodes like this must never happen again. Now, I hope the rapist (already having a police history), accused of attempted murder and aggravated sexual violence, receives the maximum sentence without any discount 

The attack on the female police officer comes just days after Lola, a 12-year-old French schoolgirl, was kidnapped, raped, murdered, stuffed into a suitcase, and left on the side of the road in the 19th arrondissement of Paris by a migrant from Algeria who had been living in France illegally, as The European Conservative previously reported.
