Today is the Feast of St Peter Damian, Doctor of the Church

It is ironically fitting that the '(homo)sex abuse summit' should open today, of all days, on the Feast of St Peter Damian, Doctor of the Church, the author of the Liber Gomorrhianus (Book of Gomorrah), a treatise regarding the vices of the clergy, principally sodomy, and the consequent need for reform.
