We regret to inform you that the Custody of the Holy Land has been, for the last several days, under a severe and serious cyber-attack.
The Custody together with law enforcement authorities and counter cybercrime specialists are working relentlessly to end this attack.
Therefore and as a precautionary measure, we urge you not to adhere to any instructions or requests for action emanating from the Custody of the Holy Land, its departments, its friars and its staff through Custody’s email servers (@custodia.org; @custodia-legal.org), without prior direct confirmation through another means of communication (telephone, fax).
We recommend similar caution also in your correspondence with any of the Custody’s personnel (friars, staff) through their personal email boxes (Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo!, etc).
We further kindly ask you to forward any suspicious email arriving to you to the following secure address: custodia-secure@protonmail.com, with copy to the secretariat of our legal department at: secretary@custodia-legal.org.
A copy of this message is being simultaneously posted to the Custody’s website. We will inform you of the progress in resolving this matter in due course.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday!
