Word of the Day: Five Wounds
FIVE WOUNDS. Devotion to the Passion of Christ by concentrating on the wounds he suffered in his hands and feet and pierced side. A favourite devotion with many great saints, a Feast of the Five Wounds is celebrated in some countries on the fourth Friday of Lent. It also finds expression in the Anima Christi, with the invocation to Christ “Within your wounds hide me.”
