Since today is the Feast of Blessed Charlemagne, the quotation memes are from him and one of his major counsellors. Alcuin of York, "The most learned man anywhere to be found", according to Einhard's Life of Charlemagne (ca. 817-833) is considered amongst the most important architects of the Carolingian Renaissance.

Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks!
