In this election season a good catholic must become knowledgeable about all the intrinsic evils – not just abortion – that the Democrat Party of Death advocates for, celebrates, and promotes. These include, among others, human trafficking, racism, genocide, attempting to redefine marriage, and abortion. There is now no doubt that a catholic with a well-formed conscience commits mortal sin in voting for any democrat at any level of government.

CATECHISM FOR CATHOLIC VOTING 2022

FAITH-FILLED CITIZENSHIP

GOD AND YOU

1. Who made you?
2. God made me.
3. Why did God make you?
4. God made me to know, love and serve Him in this world to be happy with Him forever in heaven.
5. How can you serve God here and be happy with God forever in Heaven?
6. I can be happy with God forever in Heaven by turning to Him consciously desiring to be with Him forever, by doing His will even if it is contrary to my will, and by obeying His laws.

GOD AND HUMAN RIGHTS

1. What are human rights?
2. Human rights are the rights I and every human being have because God made me and everyone with inherent human dignity.
3. Do governments or courts create or grant these rights?
4. No, these rights are ours. They are rights created by God, the same God who created us. They are inherent to each of us as a human being. No government, no court, no person, no persons create, give, or grant these rights.
5. Does the President create rights or grant them to us?
6. The President does not create any rights. The President does not grant us any rights. No government official, no politician, no elected person, no legislation, and no public office holder gives us our human rights, creates these rights, or grants these rights.
7. Can a government, Supreme Court justices, an elected official, a ruler, a tyrant, a tyrannical political party, a totalitarian ruler, or a totalitarian political party take away these inherent human rights?
8. No, these human rights are and always will be ours, they are the rights of all human beings. They are “inalienable,” they cannot be taken away by a government, by Supreme Court justices, by an elected official, by a ruler, by a tyrant, or by a tyrannical political party.
9. What is the most basic human right?
10. The most basic human right is the right to life. All human beings, from conception, while they are within their mothers’ wombs, and after they are born until natural death, are endowed by their Creator with this most basic of human rights. No one – no government, no judge, no bureaucrat, and no official of any agency or of any department, no tyrant or tyrannical political party – can take this away from us.

SIN

1. What is sin?
2. Sin is consciously turning from God, acting according to one’s own will and against conscience – which is the voice of God in each of us – when it is known to be contrary to His will, and disobeying His law.
3. How many kinds of sin are there?
4. There are two kinds of sin, mortal sin and venial sin. Mortal sin is a grievous offence against God.
5. What if I die having committed a mortal sin for which I have not repented and for which I have not received absolution?
6. If you die in unforgiven mortal sin, you will not be allowed to be with God for all eternity, the gates of heaven will be shut to you forever, and you will be condemned to suffer the pains of hell alone eternally.
7. If I do not serve God here on earth, will I be with Him in heaven?
8. If you sin mortally without repentance, you will not go to heaven and you will not be with God forever. You will spend eternity in Hell alone forever.

CONSCIENCE

1. What is conscience?
2. Conscience is the voice of God in each individual. It is God telling each of us what is good and what is evil. It is a natural facility of human reason that: reminds us always to do good and avoid evil; which makes a judgment about the good and evil of particular choices in a specific situation; and which refers to good or evil already done (e.g., having a clear conscience or having a guilty conscience.)
3. Is Conscience the source of moral law? Simply ones feelings about good and bad?
4. No, one’s conscience is not the source of the moral law and it is a mistake to consider one’s conscience as the source of moral law. No, conscience is not simply human feelings or simply human reasons.
5. Does each baptized person have a duty to form his or her conscience?
6. Yes, and this duty requires that one’s conscience be correctly formed or “well-formed.”
7. How do I correctly form my conscience so that it is well-formed?
8. You must educate and train your conscience by learning the moral law as found in Scripture and in the authoritative teachings of the Church. Practicing acts of virtue can help form your conscience correctly.
9. Will my well-formed conscience ever contradict what the Church teaches?
10. Your well-formed conscience will never contradict the objective moral law, as taught by Christ and His Church.
11. If my conscience is not well-formed, can I just do what my it tells me to do?
12. You cannot say “My conscience told me to do that” as justification for any action.
13. Is it possible for a well-formed conscience to require that a person vote for or support political candidates, programs, parties, or legislation which contradict the fundamental contents of faith and moral law?
14. No, this is not possible.
15. So, is it a sin for a person with a well-formed conscience to vote for or support political candidates, programs, parties, or legislation which contradict the fundamental contents of the moral law?
16. Yes, it is a sin.
17. Is it a sin for a person with a well-formed conscience to donate money, time, support, or resources to a party or to a candidate who promote, support, advocate for or condone intrinsic evils such as “mercy” murder-euthanasia, abortion, torture, racism, voluntary consensual sodomy and voluntarily engaging in homosexual actions, helping someone kill themselves-“assisted” suicide, cloning, embryonic stem cell research, redefining marriage, genocide, torture, and targeting civilians in war, and subjecting workers to inhumane conditions ?
18. Yes, it is a sin. Pope John Paul II said, “In the case of an intrinsically unjust law, such as a law permitting abortion or euthanasia, it is therefore never licit to obey it, or to take part in a propaganda campaign in favor of such a law, or vote for it” (Evangelium Vitae, 73).

THE FIFTH COMMANDMENT

1. What is the Fifth Commandment?
2. The Fifth Commandment is: Thou shalt not kill.
3. Q. What killing does this commandment forbid?
4. This commandment forbids the unjustified killing of human beings.
5. Q. Is it ever lawful for any cause to deliberately and intentionally take away the life of an innocent human being?
6. It is never lawful for any cause to deliberately and intentionally take away the life of an innocent human being. Such deeds are always murder, and can never be excused for any reason, however important or necessary.
7. Is it a violation of the Fifth Commandment to have or participate in an abortion?
8. Yes, this is a sin.
9. Is it a mortal sin to have or participate in an abortion?
10. Yes, it is a mortal sin to consciously have or participate in an abortion intending to kill the preborn baby. Such a direct abortion violates God’s command “Thou shalt not kill.” The life of the preborn baby is sacred and no one, not even the mother or the father, or the government, or a court, has the power to destroy this life.
11. Is it a mortal sin to support with money or financial contributions a political party that supports, promotes, or advocates for abortion?
12. Yes, it is a mortal sin to give money to or make contributions to such a party of any of its candidates.

INTRINSICALLY EVIL ACTIONS

1. When is an action intrinsically evil?
2. An action is intrinsically evil when the object of the action is incapable of being in accord with God’s will since the action radically contradicts the good of a person made in the image of God.
3. Are such actions always evil?
4. Yes, intrinsically evil actions are always and per se evil, despite any intention of the person acting and despite any circumstance, even if the intention or the circumstances are to produce some other or perceived good. Intrinsically evil actions are always evil, always grievously sinful, they are never good, never right, never. A catholic cannot choose which actions he or she considers to be intrinsically evil, nor can he or she deny these teachings of the church.
5. What actions are intrinsically evil ?
6. An intrinsically evil act is something that is always wrong no matter what the person acting intends and no matter the circumstance. No political party platform, no policy goal, no public good, no high-sounding campaign promise, no appeal to some concept of “justice” or to some alleged “social justice” can ever justify an intrinsically evil act. The Catholic Bishops of the United States have said: “all issues do not carry the same moral weight and that the moral obligation to oppose policies promoting intrinsically evil acts has a special claim on our consciences and our actions.” The Bishops have told us that intrinsically evil acts include abortion, euthanasia, voluntary sodomy and voluntarily engaging in homosexual actions, assisted homicide (suicide), cloning, redefining marriage, genocide, torture, targeting civilians in war, human trafficking, and subjecting workers to inhumane conditions.
7. But what if a deacon, priest, pastor, bishop, archbishop or cardinal – catechist, nun, professor, theologian, or a lay person or teacher – says words to the effect that we are not single issue voters and either explicitly that we need not vote solely based on the issue of abortion and the promotions of abortion by the Democratic party, or, without saying that, simply inferring that this is so. Can we then vote for a democrat or for any other candidate who promotes intrinsic evil?
8. No, even in that case you cannot vote for a democrat or other such person and such a vote would be a mortal sin. Such a person, who tells you this, is lying or confused. Nothing, no other issue or issues, can outweigh the evil of an intrinsic evil such as abortion. Even if a candidate professes to believe something else that you know to be good and in accord with church teaching, if a candidate is wrong on an issue of intrinsic evil, then, for that reason alone, because of that single issue, you cannot vote for such a candidate.

Also, any such ordained person or lay person who states plainly or tries to infer that the democrat party advocates for and promotes only one, single intrinsic evil is mistaken or lying. The democrat party advocates for, promises to enact laws about, seeks government funding of, and promotes a large number of intrinsic evils.

1. Does the Democratic Party promote intrinsic evils, including abortions?
2. Yes. The Democratic Party promotes numerous intrinsic evils and has done so, publicly, for decades. The Democrat Party advocates for abortion, promotes abortion, applauds celebrations of abortions, seeks to have and has succeeded in having abortions paid for with taxpayer money, and now, in states across this country, seeks to have the so-called “right to abortion” extended to include a mother’s legal right to kill her baby once it has been born and is no longer living inside her. This party does the same things with respect to numerous other intrinsic evils such as abortion, mercy murder (euthanasia), voluntary sodomy and voluntarily engaging in homosexual actions, infanticide, assisted homicide (suicide), genocide, racism, cloning, redefining marriage, genocide, torture, targeting civilians in war, embryonic stem cell research, human trafficking, and subjecting workers to inhumane conditions.
3. Has a Cardinal Archbishop of the Church called the Democratic “Party the Party of Death”? A. Yes.
4. Has a Bishop of the Church resigned as a registered Democrat because of the Democratic Party’s support of abortion? A. Yes.
5. Have elected officials, members of the Democratic Party, been denied Holy Communion due to theirs and the party’s position on abortion? A. Yes.

Regarding San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone’s denial of Holy Communion to democrat speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Bishop Joseph V. Brennan of Fresno, California stated that this is the correct thing for her archbishop to do. He said: “…it takes some kind of immense spiritual hubris and hypocrisy to waltz up for Communion while at the same time publicly ignoring and positively working against essential Church teaching and practice, much less promoting something that is intrinsically evil.”

1. Have bishops publicly condemned the democrats for enacting a law that made the so-called “right to abortion” the law of the state and asked all such democrats to cease receiving Holy Communion? A. Yes.
2. What if I do not vote for a Democrat knowing that preborn babies will be killed by abortion and this will be a result of my vote – but I vote for a Democrat to achieve some other good, such as the reduction of poverty, the end of war, the elimination of the death penalty, a fair economic system, or just treatment of immigrants?
3. Since abortion is an intrinsic evil, none of the other goods listed can change this evil and none of the other goods listed can be used to outweigh or negate this evil. So, again, in this situation, you will commit mortal sin. The same is true for any other intrinsic evil.
4. Does this apply to all Democrats at all levels of government?
5. Yes, this applies to all Democrat candidates.
6. Does a catholic who wants to have a well-formed conscience need to learn the facts about what the democrats have done in the past, what they are now doing, and what they promise to do in the future?
7. Yes.
8. At the present time, what do such facts include about the democrat party?

Such facts include those listed below.

• Democrats promise to pass a bill entitled the “Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), nicknamed the “Abortion Without Limits Up to Birth Act,” which would legally require each state of the union to legalize abortions for any reason for all nine months of pregnancy, force taxpayers to pay for abortions nationwide, allow sex-selection abortions, and eliminate informed consent laws.

In recent campaigning across the country the democrats, including Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, have promised they will nullify the filibuster rules in the Senate and pass the WHPA. Although they are touting this as simply “codifying” Roe v. Wade, it would go far beyond that.

San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone said this proposed law will in essence, legalize “child sacrifice” and that such a law is what “one would expect from a devout Satanist, not a devout Catholic.”

This proposed WHPA would immediately overturn all federal and state pro-life laws and make it illegal for elected officials to introduce, let alone pass, pro-life legislation. The law would erase bans on partial-birth abortions, which is partial birth murder, sex-selection abortions and taxpayer-funded abortions. All pro-woman and pro-baby laws nationwide would be nullified instantly. These include all laws requiring parental consent for minors to kill their babies, which allow parents to care for their daughters and their unborn grandchildren; and informed consent laws that now allow a mother to see her baby in an ultrasound, hear its beating heart, and make it mandatory that a pregnant woman or girl be informed about her baby and the possible risks, injurious effects, and PASS – post-abortion stress syndrome.

The democrats’ WHPA would prohibit any state from passing legislation to protect babies older than 20 weeks in the womb – adding the United States of America, land of the free, home of the brave to the list of pro-death countries which also do not allow such protection fo unborn babies, countries like North Korea, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Canada, and the Netherlands.

With the democrats’ WHPA in effect, doctors and nurses who oppose abortion will lose their jobs, and, almost certainly, after the law has taken effect, Catholic hospitals will lose public funds unless they perform abortions.

Every Democrat candidate in ten critical Senate races supports abortions for any reason up to birth and also supports taxpayer funding of abortion

Again and again Joe Biden, saying “ I promise you, I promise you,” has promised to legalize abortion up to baby birth and to force all states to do the same. He has also promised that, if the republicans take control of the House and the Senate, he will veto any pro-baby, pro-mother, pro-life legislation that they pass.

• Democrats are attempting to legally enlarge the scope of a woman’s so-called “right to abortion” to include the right to kill her baby for some time period once it has been born, including the cases in which a baby has survived a mother’s and an abortionist’s attempts to murder it in an abortion
• Democrats have promised to make abortion part of “health care” under Medicaid regulations, in all laws related to health, and for all government agencies involved in health care
• Democrats will force all citizens to pay with their tax dollars for abortions with no opt out based on conscience
• Democrats advocate for killing more minority babies in abortions
• Democrats will requiring public schools to teach children perverted views of sexuality; “transgenderism;” that “marriage” includes so-called “same sex marriage” and whatever any legislature chooses as the definition of marriage; and concepts of family contrary to church teaching
• Democrats have met with pro-abortion Latino state lawmakers at the White House to discuss ways to expand the killing of unborn babies in abortions in Hispanic-American communities.
• Democrats advocate for and promote legalizing sex-selection abortions (the overwhelming majority of which involve the murder of a little girl baby)
• Democrats will, via legislation, eliminate now legally-established parental consent for a minor’s abortion; and eliminating now legally-established informed consent laws which require that abortion businesses and abortionists tell women and girls the truth about the barbarities of abortion procedures and the terrible and horrific consequences of abortion, including post-abortion stress syndrome
• Joe Biden has issued a presidential executive order directing the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to explore ways to avoid the Hyde Amendment and use Medicaid dollars to pay for pregnant women in pro-life states to travel to other states for an abortion.
• Democrats voted down, in the Senate, a bill amendment that affirmed that only women can have babies
• Democrats have rejected efforts to expand Medicaid coverage to new mothers
• Democrats promote human trafficking by continuing and enlarging the scope of their non-border policies which open the borders of the United States rather than protecting U.S. citizens; policies whose main purposes are to create new voters for democrat candidates and to take over now-non-democrat states; policies that engender, facilitate and promote human trafficking
• Democrats are totally committed to their democrat RETA policy – racial eugenic targeted abortion – in accord with which about half of abortions in the USA were the murders of minority babies, but their mamas account for less than 20% of the entire population; and, due to the astounding number of black babies killed, resulting in black genocide
• Democrat Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra issued a 5-point plan to ensure access to what is called “abortion care.”
• Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren called for putting pop-up abortion tents in federal parks.
• Democrats have urged democrat President Biden to declare a “public health emergency” to impose radical abortion policies by executive order, bypassing the legislative process.
• In an attempt to subvert federal law and murder more babies, the democrat Department of Health and Human Services “announced new guidance and communication” claiming that “federal law preempts state abortion bans when needed for emergency care.” Democrat Secretary Becerra stated: “We are reinforcing that we expect providers to continue offering [abortion] services.” So far, a federal judge in Texas rejected the democrat Biden Administration’s attempt to preempt the state’s abortion regulations.
• Democrats have objected to proposed legislation that would protect unborn babies from elective, late-term abortions and infanticide.
• Democrat Joe Biden issued an executive order that tried to insure the ready availability of death-dealing abortion pills.
• An executive order of Joe Biden’s mandated extra security for abortion businesses, but ignored the liberal and left-wing violence aimed at pregnancy centers, documented violence such as that done by groups like “Jane’s Revenge.” Democrat Biden ordered democrat Attorney General Merrick Garland to take part in an “interagency Task Force on Reproductive Health Care Access.”
• Democrats are attempting to have the United Nations declare that a “right to abortion” is a basic human right under various U.N. declarations and treaties. Democrat Biden has removed the U.S. from the U.N. Geneva Consensus Declaration on Promoting

Women’s Health and Strengthening the Family, an international pro-life declaration signed by 34 countries. This document urged all nations to: protect all human beings; to provide for human rights and health care to all human beings, born and unborn; to provide better health for women; to preserve human life; and to strengthen the of family as the foundational unit of society.Democrat Biden has issued an executive memo entitled Memorandum on Protecting Women’s Health at Home and Abroad.” This reverses the pro-life “Mexico City policy.” S. foreign aid money. i.e. U.S. taxpayer money, may now be used to fund non-governmental organizations that promote and perform abortions.

• Democrats attempted to halt coverage for fertility-awareness based methods (FABM) of family planning from health insurance plans. In November 2021, the democrat Department of Health and Human Services published a draft of regulatory changes directed to what contraceptives should be covered. The stated purpose was to add condoms to covered contraceptives. But, without any reference to what they had done, they omitted the previously-existing coverage for FABM. Although FABM organizations submitted comments opposing the omission, no such comments were made public and the changes took effect in December 2021. In a Texas-based federal court, the court ruled that this change could not go into effect. Since HHS failed to follow the protocols for revising such regulations.
• Democrats across the country are advocating for “abortion travel” and reimbursement to women who get abortions in other states, “abortion travel expenses.”
• Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin has chastised and condemned Joe Biden for falsely claiming the Catholic Church supports some abortions, e.g. when a pregnancy results from rape. He said: ““President Biden cannot be both a devout Catholic and a pro-abortion zealot. The two are mutually exclusive. He is a poor, lost and confused soul. Truly, we need to pray for him, everyday,” Tobin said. He went on: “Just saw a headline in a Catholic newspaper with the phrase ‘pro-abortion Catholic.’ Sorry. That’s a contradiction in terms…“You can’t be a Catholic, at least not an authentic one, and be ‘pro-abortion.’ Or ‘pro-choice.’ It’s the same thing.”
• A pro-abortion lawyer who argued against the overturning of Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health case has been nominated by Joe Biden for a federal judge position. Julie Rikelman represented the abortion business on which the case focused as an attorney with the Center for Reproductive Rights. As one senator noted in questioning her, she has spent the majority of her professional life as an extreme zealot advocating for abortion, a heartfelt and personal passion of hers. Another senator noted that she stated publicly that overturning Roe would result in the “biggest public health crisis that we have seen in decades.”
• Joe Biden has stated publicly that, contrary to federal law, his democrat administration will illegally have Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals perform abortions. Although the medical science is clear that abortions are never medically necessary in cases of rape or incest, the Department has stated that it will kill babies in abortions “regardless of state restrictions” – which means VA hospitals will assume the role of abortion businesses in pro-life states that have banned abortions.

The Department submitted an interim rule to the Federal Register that will allow abortions on federal property and let VA health care providers work with private medical offices in states where abortion is still allowed. “Pregnant veterans and VA beneficiaries deserve to have access to world-class reproductive care when they need it most,” said democrat-appointed VA Secretary Denis McDonough. “That’s what our nation owes them, and that’s what we at VA will deliver.”

AUTOMATIC EXCOMMUNICATION

1. In addition to the eternal damnation due to unabsolved mortal sin, are there any consequences in this life?
2. Yes. A woman who intentionally has an abortion and anyone who assists her to kill her preborn baby – including doctors, nurses, technicians, administrators, managers, workers, and staff of abortion businesses, officers, board members, and executives of abortion businesses, and relatives or friends who help a girl or woman get to an abortion business and assist her in getting an abortion – is automatically excommunicated.
3. Are any other persons besides the abortionist who kills the preborn baby included in the meaning of those who “assist” the woman?
4. Yes, anyone who formally conspires with or helps the woman to kill her preborn baby is excommunicated, and this includes the abortionist, nurses who assist her or him, workers at the abortion business, husbands, boyfriends, family members, statutory rapists whose rape of a minor results in a pregnancy, and others whose counsel and encouragement made it morally possible for the woman to kill her preborn baby, as well as those whose direct practical support make it possible (financially, driving to the abortion business location etc.).
5. Has a bishop announced the excommunication of a person who was baptized in the Church who became a medical doctor and performed abortions? . A. Yes.

POLITICIANS AND VOTING

1. Is it a mortal sin for a politician who claims to be catholic who is a baptized member of the Church with a well-formed conscience to cast a vote with the intention of legalizing abortion, or of protecting laws allowing abortion, or of having abortions paid for with taxpayer dollars, or of widening access to abortion?
2. Yes, such a politician commits a mortal sin; and such a vote resulst in the excommunication of the politician?
3. What if such a politician claims to be “personally opposed” to abortion?
4. If any such politician favors abortion, despite a claim of personal opposition, such a politician commits a mortal sin by promoting abortion and by voting in favor of abortion.

DEMOCRATIC PARTY – PARTY OF RACISM

PARTY OF BLACK & HISPANIC GENOCIDE

1. Are actions of racism intrinsically evil?
2. Yes, racism is intrinsically evil and there are no considerations and no circumstances that can make racism morally acceptable; there is nothing that can be weighed against the evil of racism to make racism good. There is nothing that can be taken into consideration in an intended conscious racist action that can make the action morally permissible. The intentions of one who decides to engage in racism cannot change the fact that such an action is intrinsically evil.
3. Does the Democratic party advance racism and racist policies?
4. Yes. The Democratic Party is a racist organization because it advocates and promotes abortion businesses that perform abortions for racist motives, such as Planned Parenthood, an organization founded on principles of eugenics and racial superiority, which intentionally locates about 70% of its locations in or near minority neighborhoods and is on record as willing to accept donations used solely for the killing of minority babies who be killed by abortions at Planned Parenthood abortion business locations.

The Democratic Party has seen to it that millions of taxpayer dollars have been paid to Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses, knowing full well that this money will be and has been used for racist purposes. For these reasons, the Democratic Party is the “Party Of Racism.”

1. Do statistics support the fact that the Democratic Party is the Party Of Racism?
2. Yes. Of the about 63,000,000 abortions done in the United States since seven justices of the Supreme Court invented the so-called “right to abortion,” in the Roe v. Wade decision, about 40% of the murdered babies have been minority babies, despite the fact that their mothers made up less than 15% of the U.S. population.
3. Is the systematic, purposeful killing of African-American unborn babies not only racist, but also Black Genocide? And of Hispanic babies Hispanic Genocide? A. Yes.

The African-American population minority in America is on the decline; and, if the current promotion of abortion by Democrats is successful, by the year 2038 the African-American vote in the U.S.A. will be insignificant. The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a devout racist who created the “Negro Project” designed to sterilize unknowing black women and others she deemed as undesirables of society. She believed that “Colored people” were human weeds to be exterminated. This is genocide.

1. Is it a mortal sin to vote for a Democrat with the intention that my vote results in the promotion of this racism and the killing of minority preborn babies? A. Yes.
2. Does this apply to all Democrats at all levels of government? A. Yes.

DENIAL OF HOLY COMMUNION TO POLITICIANS WHO SUPPORT AND FACILITATE ABORTION, RACISM & OTHER INTRINSIC EVILS

1. Should politicians who are baptized in the Church, whose public positions on abortion, racism. Or other intrinsic evils are incompatible with the position that these are always intrinsically evil, be denied Holy Communion?
2. Yes. Such politicians, and anyone else who has been baptized in the Church, who obstinately persists in manifest grievous sin should be denied Holy Communion. DENIAL OF FUNERAL TO POLITICIANS WHO SUPPORT ABORTION & OTHER INTRINSIC EVILS

1. Should politicians who are baptized in the Church whose public position on abortion or racism (or other intrinsically evil actions) is incompatible with the position that abortion and racism are always intrinsically evil be denied an ecclesiastical funeral?
2. Yes. Such politicians, and anyone else who has been baptized in the Church, who persists in manifest grievous sin should be denied an ecclesiastical funeral. Such a funeral would cause scandal of the faithful.
