Some people are questioning whether it was a critical error. For my part, I think it was, indeed, a critical error. There are Bishops who have never shown themselves great friends of Tradition coming out against TC. Some who have slavishly toed Francis's line on everything else are refusing to go along. Some are receiving lots of publicity. Others, like a former Archbishop of mine, are simply refusing to implement the diktat, with little or no publicity.
I've already come across a number of ordinary laymen who have never attended a TLM who are making the effort to find one and go. I had a chat earlier with a fellow asking how to dress for a weekday Mass on Wednesday. It's his first TLM.With the utter collapse of post-Conciliar Catholicism (which is not solely because of Francis, it's been going on for 50 years), lack of catechesis, falling away from Dogma and Catholic moral teachings, etc., the Trad and orthodox NOers are the only part of the Church that is thriving, and that's the very part that Francis seems intent on alienating and driving out of the Church.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
