Consoling Thoughts From Father Faber
God left heaven because pain was such a paradise for Him, and it was an exclusively terrestrial paradise; and if He loved it so, He May well expect that those who love Him shall love it also. Great graces are the mountain-chains thrown up by the subterranean headings of pain.
