ST. MICHAEL the ARCHANGEL NOVENA – Powerful Prayer Against Attacks of the ENEMY

In these dire times of societal collapse and rampant heresy in Holy Mother Church, I urge my readers to join Fr Heilman and I in praying this novena.

From Roman Catholic Man

St. Michael the Archangel is mentioned a few times in the Bible and is venerated as the ‘Prince of Angels.’ He is known for interceding for us for protection from evil and for healing.
The Catholic church refers to Michael the Archangel as St. Michael even though he is an angel, and not a saint whose recognition resulted from canonization. He is believed to be the prince of all of God’s angels, and the protector of the church.
The following St. Michael the Archangel Novena is an excellent prayer for seeking protection against attacks of the enemy.
“Attacks” can often be “allowed” by God to alert us to “close an open door” we may have, allowing Satan’s minions to enter in. Think of the “over-reach” occurring in the public square. Satan’s minions are dumb … they always over-reach and expose themselves. But, once we “see the attacks,” we must deal with them … we must work to “close the open doors.”
Open Doors – While this could be anything, it usually points to some repetitive sin that we are freely allowing into our lives and homes. One of the most common “open doors” today is pornography and masturbation, since the internet has created such easy access. Other open doors could be habits of gossip, elitism (of our, so-called, “rank” in the Church? For example, a traditionalism that looks down at others?), vulgar speech, lack of stewardship and volunteerism (hoarding God’s gifts for ourselves), gluttony, lust for possessions, etc.. If you and/or your home are experiencing “attacks,” first make sure this or any other “access of demons” (Open Doors) is not present any longer.
In the novena prayer below – “In your strength and humility, slay the evil and pride in our hearts”– points to a kind of pride that minimizes (shrugs off) these ways evil is “allowed in” as “no big deal.” This means our love for God has grown cold, and we see our relationship with God as something akin to a job, and fulfilling a job description. In this “job relationship,” we rationalize away our need for any “extra effort to close doors” as not being any offense great enough to lose our job (lose the boss’s desire to pay us our just wage, meaning, God’s protection and answering our prayers). God’s wants us in a place where we are, every minute of every day, doing only those things that please Him.
So, pray this Novena, below, for nine days, but first ask God – with the intercession of St. Michael – to reveal to you the “open doors” in you and/or your home.
St. Michael the Archangel Novena
St. Michael the Archangel, we honor you as a powerful protector of the Church and guardian of our souls. Inspire us with your humility, courage and strength that we may reject sin and perfect our love for our Heavenly Father.
In your strength and humility, slay the evil and pride in our hearts so that nothing will keep us from God.
St. Michael the Archangel, pray that we may be blessed by God with the zeal to live our lives in accordance with Christ’s teachings.
St. Michael the Archangel, you are the prince of angels but in your humility,  you recognized that God is God and you are but His servant. Unlike Satan, you were not overcome with pride but were steadfast in humility. Pray that we will have this same humility.
It is in the spirit of that humility that we ask for your intercession for our petitions… (state your petitions)
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
