There is no such thing as a 'secular' nation, because there is no such thing as a secular human being. While the reasons may be disputed, the human character is fundamentally religious, and due to this so to are the societies we comprise. So while the US claims to be 'secular' Enlightenment Liberalism was, is, and will continue to be the operating religious system (as Communism was in the USSR, which also claimed to be 'secular' and just as falsely)."
