A Couple of Thoughts on a Comment Left on 'Musings'.

Recently I posted Pope John Paul the Great! (… or Great Disappointment?),   an article from Christian Order, published shortly after his death in April 2005. I awoke the next day to find this comment on the post.
What complete garbage, more bitter words being written from extreme traditionalists who are never happy with whoever is Pope. Author is so bitter, it's untrue. This blog is another example of ultra traditionalists taking advantage of the sexual abuse crisis to slander Pope Francis and his predecessors, time for these blogs, which claim to represent Catholicism, to be put to rest.
At first I was angry, then amused. Why was I amused? Because this comment is so typical of the typical left wing modernist!

Notice that there is absolutely no attempt to engage the argument of the article. It is simply a blatant attack on 'Musings' and similar blogs. And, of course, in typical left wing 'Freedom of speech (as long as I agree with it)' fashion it includes a veiled call for silencing such blogs.

Exactly what are the liberals and modernist heretics afraid of? That the Catholic sheeple are waking up and realising that the Church, our beloved Mother, is under attack from people like them, and that we're beginning to fight back? That the days of 'Pray, Pay, and Obey' are over.

Are they afraid of the fact that we have read Can. 212 §§ Two and Three, and we are beginning to exercise those rights?
§2. The Christian faithful are free to make known to the pastors of the Church their needs, especially spiritual ones, and their desires.

§3. According to the knowledge, competence, and prestige which they possess, they have the right and even at times the duty to manifest to the sacred pastors their opinion on matters which pertain to the good of the Church and to make their opinion known to the rest of the Christian faithful, without prejudice to the integrity of faith and morals, with reverence toward their pastors, and attentive to common advantage and the dignity of persons.
Whatever it is, I have a little bit of advice for them. The Faithful are like a sleeping great beast which is being aroused from its slumber and it is not happy! The 'Spirit of Vatican Two', liturgical abuses, the perversion scandals, and the shenanigans in Rome are waking more and more people on a daily basis. We are not going to be silenced, on our blogs, our websites, or in person, and we're not going away.

With prayer, penance, and activism, with the prayers of the Blessed Mother and the Saints, and with God's help, we are going to reclaim the Church. Follow or get out of the way!

Oh, and as an afterthought, I'm such an 'ultra traditionalist' that I attend the NO about 95% of the time out of necessity since I no longer drive. But to a radical left modernist, anyone who believes and practices the Catholic Faith is an 'ultra traditionalist'!

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
