The Australian Monarchist League is lobbying for, and promoting that there be, nation-wide celebrations honouring the Queen on achieving 70 years on the throne. This extraordinary event will occur on the 6th of February 2022.
Her Majesty is already the longest serving and the oldest living monarch in the shared history of the Commonwealth realms and Her Majesty will be one of only three other monarchs in known history to reach this milestone.
It is therefore an occasion that Australia should rightfully honour and celebrate along with our sister realms, including New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom.
We have set up an online petition calling on the Senate to establish an all-party group to prepare nation-wide celebrations honouring the Queen on her Platinum Jubilee and call upon all those who honour the Queen to sign this online petition which will be tabled in the Senate, hopefully in its June sitting by Senator the Hon. Eric Abetz who is also a Deputy National Chairman of the Australian Monarchist League.
