Update-Is Facebook Anti-Catholic?

Update-Shortly before this was originally posted, I posted, as usual, the Roman Martyrology reading from Prime to a Traditional Catholic group. It was flagged.

I don't know, but since my banning, a friend has been sharing my blog posts to Facebook, and the posts that have been flagged as 'against community standards' make for an interesting read. All the posts that were flagged (so far) were on 18 November. 

The regular post from In Lumine Fidei that I share as a link was on the Sunday After Pentecost. It was flagged.

On the same day, I shared another link from In Lumine Fidei, on the Feast on that date in the Calendar. It was the Feast of the Dedication of the Basilicas of Ss Peter & Paul. It was flagged.

As regular readers know, besides the In Lumine Fidei posts, I have several other 'regular' posts like Word of the Day, 

On that day, the Word of the Day was 'alb'. Here is the entire post:

ALB. A full length white linen vestment secured with a cincture used at Mass. An adaptation of the undertunic of the Greeks and Romans of the fourth century. It is blessed before being worn. It symbolizes the garment in which Christ was clothed by Herod and the purity of the soul with which the Sacrifice of the Mass should be offered. “Make me white O Lord and cleanse my heart that, made white by the Blood of the Lamb, I may be able to serve Thee” is said by the priest as he puts on the alb. It is also the white garment worn by the newly baptized person from Holy Saturday to the Sunday after Easter, Low Sunday, sometimes called the “Sunday in white.” (Etym. Latin albus, white.)

In the East the comparable vestment is the sticharion.

I share the reading at Prime from the Roman Martyrology every day. It was flagged.

The daily Meditation from Antonio, Cardinal Bacci was flagged. This one is ironic since I copy it off a Facebook page every day.  

And, last but not least, a lengthy quote from His Holiness Pope Pius XI on the principle of subsidiarity in Catholic Social Teaching was flagged.

And, as a result of all these flagged posts, my friend was handed a three-day ban from sharing anything on any group he belongs to.

It's not as if we were spamming groups that don't agree with Catholicism. They were shared with the 'Musings of an Old Curmudgeon' Facebook group, and other Traditional Catholic groups.

I have read Facebook's 'community standards' and I don't see how, by any stretch of the imagination, any one of these posts could be considered objectionable to anyone but an anti-Catholic.
