We've been blessed the last few days with a belated St Martin's Summer. Daytime temperatures have been in the upper 50s, hitting the 60s once or twice. Today is predicted to be more of the same, until the evening!
The forecast is for plummeting temperatures, 3" to 7" inches of snow, and winds gusting to 40 or 50 miles per hour. In other words, full on blizzard conditions!
As the Cuter and Shorter Half said whilst we were discussing the forecast this evening, it's ridiculous! It's the price we pay for living on the Great Plains.
The two bright spots are that it should still be pleasant when I walk to Mass this evening, and the C&SH does not work on Sundays. She has about a seven mile commute each way to work, but by noon on Monday when she'll be leaving next, the highway should be cleared.
I, on the other hand, have no plans to go anywhere, or to leave the house except to take the Household Canine outside, after the snow comes, for the next several days!

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
