Word of the Day: Knife and Book
KNIFE AND BOOK. Emblems of St. Bartholomew, who preached the Gospel in India, where he was martyred by being flayed alive. This is the way he is represented in Michelangelo's Last Judgment painting in the Sistine Chapel, Rome.
