Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
Ah yes... my former "colleague." She needs prayers.
ReplyDeleteGee i did not think Portugal was fascist in 1917.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't. It was under the iron heel of Bratten Weiss's buddies, the Marxists and the Freemasons. And it was never 'fascist'. See my reply below.
DeleteI don't like her comments, but what she is referring to is Antonio de Oiveira Salazar's authoritarian regime who served as Prime Minister of Portugal from 1932 to 1968. It was in that period of time that devotion to Our Lady of Fatima flourished, and its purpose was to aid and abet a fascist government, which was justifiable to its devotees because it was anti communist (part of the message of Fatima), in the minds of its critics. The fact is devotion to Our Lady under this title became a world wide devotion, in many different governmental systems, not just in Portugal.
ReplyDeletePortugal was never 'fascist'. Calling it a fascist government just plays into the left's hands, because to them, anything 'right wing', Catholic, or to the right of their chosen position on the left. is 'fascist'. I'm reminded of the 'fascist' Carlist requete who was asked how he felt about receiving aid from Germany and Italy. He replied, 'I regret that we fight only the communists, the socialists, the liberals, the democrats, the Jews, the protestants, and the Freemasons, and not also those other enemies of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Nazis and the Fascists!'
Delete“It’s purpose was to aid an abet a fascist government”?!!! What are you even talking about? The government was Incensed by devotion to our Lady if Fatima who was warning people about the errors of communism- in a socialist country! The government of the time tried everything they could to shut it down as they felt it was stirring insurrection! They shut down churches, arrested the faithful, sent in the military to block access to Fatima- they even put the three children in prison for three days to try stop it & threatened them with worse punishment unless they denied it all. This view is absolutely ridiculous and that woman is about as catholic as Hitler! But of course the enemy would attack our lady and use liberal progressive fake Catholics who don’t know God or clearly the gospels, to do that. I can point to many different places in the bible where God was “offended”- he destroyed cities because of it and let’s never forget Jesus so offended at the sight of merchants in the temple that he flipped tables and flogged them! I mean seriously??
