Word of the Day: Apotheosis

APOTHEOSIS. A human being elevated to the rank of deity, especially among the ancient Greeks and Romans. Also applied to the transition of a person upon death, from this life to one of sainthood in eternal glory. (Etym. Greek apotheosis, deification.)
