Princess Elizabeth Proclaimed Queen
Accession Proclamation, St James's Palace, 6 February 1952. In just 16 days, it will have been 68 years. I still vaguely remember it. It was a sad day in our house, since both my Mum and Gran were Englishwomen who had lived through the War.
