Military Guard of Honour for Arrival of 100 Year Old Chief of Clan Farquharson to Ballater Highland Games in 2019

The Chief of Clan Farquharson is Captain Alwyne Arthur Compton Farquharson of Invercauld, Chief of the Name and Arms of Farquharson, 16th Baron of Invercauld and Omnalprie, MCJP; as recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms. Captain Farquharson was born on May 1, 1919. Captain Alwyne Arthur Compton Farquharson of Invercauld was by Lyon Court in 1949 confirmed MacFionnlaidh (Chief of the Name and Arms of Farquharson) He served with distinction as a Captain in the Royal Scots Greys during World War Two. Captain Farquharson resides at Valley Farm, Norfolk with his second wife, Madame Patricia Farquharson.



The guard of honour and combined pipe bands prepare for the arrival of the 100 year old Chief, Captain Alwyne Farquharson of Invercauld M.C. for the official opening of the 2019 Ballater Highland Games in Deeside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
