I have decided to start blogging again. This will be a bit different than my old blog The New Crusade. It was more of a news aggregator, but I hope to make this attempt a journal of my thoughts and comments on what I read and on life in general. I hope you enjoy it.I did start out being more than a news aggregator, with my musings on life in Wilber, NE, and being a Catholic in in a small, rural Nebraska town.
I commented on my reading, writing a few reviews of books , commenting on quotes from classic Traditionalist and High Tory writers, with an occasional comment on current news in the Church.
I posted pictures of the weather, our yard, our garden, and the Household Canine, Maximus Barker, with pictures of our outings with Max at the river and camping at Clatonia NRD Lake.
But then the faecal matter hit the wind generating device. Francis showed his hand as a heretic out to destroy the Church with his approval of Holy Communion for adulterers, his 'qualified approval' of Holy Communion for heretics, and his blatant attempt at changing the Doctrine of the Church on the death penalty, defying Scripture, the Fathers and Doctors of the Church, and his predecessors. His latest attempt to elevate the decisions of the Synod of Bishops to his faux 'magisterium' is an attempt to change the Constitution of the Church as it was established by Christ.
It is interesting that he actually gave the order for his heresy to be inserted in the Catechism of the Catholic Church some months before it was made public. It was only made public when the vile perversions of one of his pet Cardinals came to light. I'm convinced it was an attempt to cause Catholics to focus on the heresy rather than the antics of his Den of Perverts and their Enablers. That failed!
However, despite the horrors of corruption and perversion, I am convinced that his heresy and attempts at changing the Constitution of the Church, are actually much more damaging than the former.
The Church has lived through periods of perversion before. I refer you to the 'Pornocracy' of the 10th century and the Renaissance Papacies for examples. But we have never before had a Pope actively trying to destroy the Church.
As a result, I'm afraid I've once again become a news aggregator. I only wish God would remove Francis from the Papacy and give us a Catholic Pope who could start to clean up the filthy perversion and corruption that Francis has been promoting for the past five and a half years.
If I live long enough to see that, I promise this Old Curmudgeon will go back to merely musing!
Now, for a few statistics and some thank yous.
In the last year I have had 235,501 pageviews (almost a quarter of a million!) from all round the globe, as I type this. I've had posts that received hundreds of views, a few with thousands (in fact, one received 14,946!), and I've had posts that received 10 or 15.
I've had readers all over the world, some from places such as the UAE that quite surprised me. Needless to say, since I write in English, the great majority have been from the US, Canada, the UK, and the rest of the Anglosphere.
I want to especially thank Gloria.tv, who published that post that garnered almost 15,000 views, my good friend Vox Cantoris who has Musings on his rolling blog feed, the other bloggers who've been kind enough to put me in their blogrolls, and His Excellency René Henry Gracida, Bishop Emeritus of Corpus Christi who linked to a post and paid me high compliments on his blog.
My thanks also go out to a friend in Her Majesty's Commonwealth of Australia who often sends me links to stories I might otherwise miss, to all of those bloggers and news sites from whom I gather material, and to all those who comment, here on the blog, on my Facebook page, or on the Musings of an Old Curmudgeon Facebook group.
But especially I thank all those thousands of readers. I assure the lot of you that your health and salvation as well as your intentions are kept in mind at every Mass I hear and every Rosary I say. Please pray for me as well.
Pax tecum,
The Old Curmudgeon,
a/k/a Jovan-Marya of the Immaculate Conception, T.O.Carm.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
