Turkson is not just 'some Cardinal'. He's Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development. Hard to develop integrally if you're aborted!
From LifeNews
By Micaiah BilgerNewsmax reports Catholic Cardinal Peter Turkson told Axios in a Sunday interview that he would not withhold Communion from the American president.
Biden says he is a devout Catholic, but he is pushing the most radical pro-abortion, anti-Christian policies ever seen from a presidential administration. Not only did Biden recently allow dangerous abortion drugs to be sold through the mail without a doctor’s visit, he also is trying to force taxpayers to pay for elective abortions in the U.S. and overseas. His administration even refused to defend a pro-life nurse who said the taxpayer-funded hospital where she worked tricked her into helping abort an unborn baby.
Despite Biden’s egregious record, Turkson said Biden should not be denied Communion. The cardinal said doing so should be reserved only for “extreme cases,” according to the report.
“The Eucharist should not in any way become a weapon,” the cardinal told Axios. “If you say somebody cannot receive Communion, you are basically doing a judgment that you are in a state of sin.”
When asked if Biden is in a “state of sin,” Turkson said, “No.”
A few other priests and bishops also have said they will not refuse Communion to Biden or any other pro-abortion politician, including Cardinal Wilton Gregory, the archbishop of Washington, D.C., and the priests at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown, which Biden attends while in the capital.
But many other bishops and priests have expressed concerns that Biden’s faith claims coupled with his radical abortion advocacy are “creating scandal” for the Catholic Church by encouraging evil. They have said the church must do something to make it clear that Catholics cannot support the killing of unborn babies and must repent before participating in Communion.
In June, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops voted to draft a teaching document on the Eucharist that could rebuke pro-abortion politicians like Biden.
The bishops made it clear that the issue is about faith and their concern for people’s souls, and they are not targeting any political party or politician.
Though Biden says he is a devout Catholic, he openly defies church teachings about the sanctity of human life. After just 100 days in office, he surpassed President Barack Obama as the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history.
Recently, his administration stopped enforcing safety regulations that protect mothers and unborn babies from dangerous abortion drugs. Now abortion drugs are being sold by mail without a woman ever having to see a doctor in person.
In August, his administration also dropped a lawsuit defending a pro-life nurse after she said the taxpayer-funded hospital where she worked tricked her into helping abort an unborn baby in an elective abortion against her will.
Biden’s 2021 budget plan also would expand abortions by eliminating the Hyde Amendment for the first time in more than 40 years. Without the amendment, Americans would be forced to directly fund the killing of unborn babies in abortions through Medicaid and other programs.
Research by the Charlotte Lozier Institute estimates the Hyde Amendment has saved about 2.4 million babies from abortions. Prior to the amendment, in the 1970s, Americans paid for about 300,000 unborn babies’ abortion deaths each year, according to a report from the Family Research Council.

Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
