He understood the reality of Islam and the need to defend Christians from its military expansionism and accompanying brutalities. The Anglican Church has created an award in his name for religious reconciliation and bridge-building and has just given it to one of Bin Laden's primary Pakistani supporters, who has been promoting terrorism, suicide bombing and Islamic blasphemy laws directed against Christians. Sarah Mullally chose to bestow this award on the 25th anniversary of bin Laden's 9/11 murders. This video asks why.
