This brief history of the so-called "Indult" Mass and then Summorum Pontificum (Pope Benedict's motu proprio, which liberated the Latin Mass) may surprise those who are new to the Latin Mass movement. If you attend the TLM anywhere inside the mainstream Catholic Church today, it's because of what Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre did in 1988.
