Prayer to St Agatha for Health of Mind, Body and Soul

Today is the Feast of St Agatha, who was a Virgin Martyr in the third century. She is the Patron of breast cancer sufferers and of natural disasters.

From Aleteia

By Philip Kosloski

St Agatha is a powerful intercessor, invoked by Christians since the 3rd century.

Among the many popular saints in the Catholic Church is the 3rd-century martyr St. Agatha.

She experienced excruciating torture for her Christian faith and was martyred around 251.

Here is a prayer by an anonymous author to St. Agatha for health of mind, body and soul.

O Heavenly Father,
who raised Agatha to the dignity of sainthood,
we implore Your Divine Majesty by her intercession
to give us health of mind, body and soul.
Free us from all those things which hold us bound to this earth,
and let our spirit, like hers, rise to your heavenly courts.
Through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you, forever. Amen.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
