Playing Sports in The Middle Ages...

From MedievalMadness

We often think about the Middle Ages as a period when people constantly worked their fingers to the bone and there was no time for play. And it’s true that without modern devices, a lot of the jobs were backbreaking and time-consuming. Life was tough in the Middle Ages but there was also plenty of fun, joy and laughter. A time when entertainment, physical skill and competition came together and the well-known adage “work hard, play hard” was never more appropriate. Let’s travel back in time to take a look at the sports enjoyed by the Medievals, keeping in mind that in the Middle Ages, they were a lot more violent and chaotic than those played today. Welcome to Medieval Madness. 00:00 Introduction 00:55 Childhood Memories 02:41 Running With the Crowd 05:18 Head-on Collision 06:56 Summer of Love & Laughter 10:57 Running on Ice

Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
