The following was written by Jack Seney, a Facebook friend of mine. It's advice that should be taken to heart. Remember, the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts WILL triumph!
If people are serious about being Catholics, they must first realize that God has already won, that there is nothing to get all despondent about and that trying to do the right thing in the world should be a mostly happy thing. As bad as the world is, its Creator will always have the final say regarding it. In this way of looking at life, negative feelings and ideas can be kept at a minimum.
The world can even "win" and "have the victory" and God's people can actually "be the losers." But this still means nothing in the eternal view of God, and He will see to it that whoever His own are will ultimately have the victory, in this world and/or in the next.
God has demonstrated this over and over throughout earthly history, confounding the evil and upholding the good just when it seemed the good was finished.
For example around the 400s it seemed that the Church was about to be changed into an outlet for heretics as true Catholics like Saint Athanasius were forced to hide underground. But against all odds the heretics ended up routed and true believers won the day.
God will continue to do such things unto the eternity that God alone controls. It is with awareness of such things that Catholic martyrs have gone to their earthly deaths overwhelmingly happy, and there is no reason that it cannot be the same for all the rest of us now.
So let us drop it with any doom and gloom already, and do what work we are given to do for God cheerfully. Granted that not all of us are big socializers and gladhanders and smiley-face types, and neither am I for that matter. But all of us can be generally happy as we go about trying to do God's Will.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
