Seventy three years ago today, on 20 November 1947, Her Royal Highness The Princess Elizabeth married His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh (until the day before the wedding he had been simply 'Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, RN') in Westminster Abbey.
I don't remember when they were not married, nor do I remember the wedding, which is not surprising, since I was not quite five months old on their wedding day.
Here, in honour of their anniversary is their wedding picture,
And a picture of them as a mature, happily married couple, wearing their Canadian Orders,
May God grant them many more happy years together. God save the Queen and God Bless the Duke!

Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
