From Complicit Clergy
Is anyone else besides me tired of our bishops’ half-hearted responses to the pure evil we are witnessing in today’s society? Take, for example, this story from the Catholic News Agency on the Virginia bishops’ response to the recent U.S. Senate vote in-favor of infanticide:
Virginia’s two bishops issued a joint statement saying they were “dismayed and outraged” that the state’s two senators voted against passing the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act on Monday evening. Bishop Michael Burbidge of Arlington and Bishop Barry Knestout of Richmond said in the statement issued February 25 that is was “appalling” and “beyond comprehension” that the bill could not find unanimous support in the Senate. “It is a matter of common sense and basic human decency to require, as S. 311 would have, that any health care practitioner present when a child is born alive following an abortion give the same degree of care to preserve the life and health of the child as would be given to any other newborn,” the bishops said.
Dismayed and outraged? They are murdering babies, not just in the womb, but now after they are born as well. And the best you can do is issue a press release from the comfort of your cozy offices? Give me a break. Why bother saying anything at all (which is the case with the vast majority of our United States bishops – crickets).
One of the Virginia senators that voted in-favor of infanticide is Senator Tim Kaine from Richmond, Virginia. Remember him? He’s the guy Hillary Clinton chose as her 2016 running mate in order to punch the Catholic card on the ballot. Kaine describes himself as ‘traditional Catholic.’ Righttt… In 2016, NARAL and Planned Parenthood Action Fund each awarded Kaine a 100 percent rating in their Senatorial scorecards for his support of abortion. But somehow guys like Kaine are allowed to continue to strut their Catholic credentials in the halls of Congress whenever it serves their personal political agendas.
Kaine resides in Bishop Knestout‘s diocese. If you live in Richmond, you might even see him at Mass this weekend.
You may want to offer Bishop Barry some friendly advice on this matter. You can call him at 804.359.5661. While your at it, why not call the other bishops of the rest of ‘Catholic’ Senators that want to kill babies.
At least a few bishops are beginning to get a partial backbone. Bishop Paprocki of Springfield, Illinois issued a statement confirming that Senator Dick Durbin was not permitted to receive Holy Communion in his diocese. Bishop Joseph Naumann who chairs the American bishops’ Committee on Pro-life activities, requested that Catholic politicians who support abortion should “not present themselves to receive Holy Communion.”
Here’s the problem: do you really think a politician who is willing to kill a baby is going to listen to his bishop’s advice about Holy Communion?
The only real solution to stop these politicians from prostituting the Body of Christ is excommunication. Allowing these impostors to remain on the rolls of their local Catholic parish is a great scandal and causes others to fall into sin through confusion. Do you hear this bishops? You are putting souls at risk of eternal damnation by your failure to act.
Guys like Cardinal Timothy Dolan claim it would be “counter-productive” to excommunicate counterfeit Catholics like Governor Andrew Cuomo (who recently officiated the child sacrifice celebration in New York). And those who try to argue that the canonical penalty of excommunication cannot be employed in the case of politicians that support the murder of children, you might want to brush-up on your canon law a bit – where there’s a will, there’s a way. People are really beginning to wonder if Dolan and the rest of his ilk aren’t more concerned about the 40% of their revenues they get from their friends in Washington than the salvation of souls.
Wake-up bishops! We are at war. Either stand-up and lead us in the truth of Christ, or get out of the way. Millions of souls, including yours, hang in the balance.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
