I posted this last night on the Musings of an Old Curmudgeon Facebook group. If you are a Facebook user, feel free to follow the blog there. It has the advantage that you can scroll past posts that might not interest you (of which I hope there are very few!) much faster than on the front page of the blog.
BTW, I'd like to apologise to the newer members of this group. Most of the original members are friends of mine, added by me. But there are a few of you who joined on your own. I'd like to welcome you and encourage you to comment, either here or on the blog. I hope you enjoy 'Musings of an Old Curmudgeon' as much as I enjoy doing it. Please pray for Holy Church that the current crisis will end, and that I can get back to what I originally intended, recording the 'musings and meandering thoughts of a crotchety old man as he observes life in the world and in a small, rural town in South East Nebraska'.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
