Please Pray For Me!

I seem to have gone blind in my right eye. My sight is not the best at any time. I had a cataract in my right eye that was removed years ago, but I've developed one in my left eye that's not 'ripe (ready for surgery) yet, so, thanks to the surgery on my right eye, it's been my 'good' one. 

This morning, when I awoke, I noticed that my vision was a bit blurry, As the day progressed, it's gotten worse. It's now to the point that I'm effectively blind in the right eye. I can distinguish light and dark, but that's about it.

This has happened before, and it cleared up after a day or so, but it's frightening! Please offer a prayer asking St Lucy, Patroness of eye problems to pray for me. Here's the prayer I'm saying.

Saint Lucy

Whose beautiful name signifies 'LIGHT'

by the light of faith which God bestowed upon you

increase and preserve His light in my soul

so that I may avoid evil,

Be zealous in the performance of good works

and abhor nothing so much as the blindness and

the darkness of evil and sin.

Obtain for me, by your intercession with God

Perfect vision for my bodily eyes

and the grace to use them for God’s greater honour and glory

and the salvation of souls.

St. Lucy, virgin and martyr

hear my prayers and obtain my petitions.
