Roger Buck: Episode 5 - Introduction to the New Age Menace
Roger Buck, a convert from the New Age Movement to Catholicism explains why the New Age is a genuine menace to Christianity. He talks, too, of his past as a New Age activist, who, prior to his conversion, once lived at the major New Age community of Findhorn in Scotland. This video also features an introduction to many of the key New Age themes and ideas and warns of the extraordinary rise of New Age thinking over the last forty years, since Buck first encountered it as a teenager in 1979. Although the video comes from a traditional Catholic perspective, Buck’s intimate, first-hand experience as a “New Age insider” for nearly twenty years may be illumining to Christians of all persuasions including Evangelicals, as well as other Conservatives who are rightly concerned that New Age-ism is a progressive and liberal movement rapidly eroding Western Christian tradition.
Roger Buck is the author of two books The Gentle Traditionalist, which I have reviewed here, and Cor Jesu Sacratissimum: From Secularism and the New Age to Christendom Renewed, for which I have a review in the works - both published by Angelico Press. An American by birth, he now lives in the northwest of Ireland, searching for ways to preserve Irish Catholic culture.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
