Every French Monarch

From Studium Historiae

France may today be famous as a republic, but that wasn't always the case. For centuries France was a land of kings and emperors, sometimes far too many. But how many, exactly? Well that depends on who you ask and how you define "France." Today we're going back to the very beginning (though that also depends on who you ask) and exploring every French (depending on who you ask) monarch from Clovis I in the late 5th century all the way to the fall of Napoleon III in 1870.
Most people would start such a list with the Carolingians, and those people are what I like to call "cowards."
In all seriousness, this is a more lighthearted and fun video than my normal output, so sit back and enjoy!

Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
