Explore the structural conservation of a historic tomb in Magdeburg Cathedral. Witness the examination of ancient remains and surrounding artefacts found within.
This video is all about the tomb and remains of the Holy Roman Emperor Otto I – the creator of the Holy Roman Imperial Crown. The tomb of this extraordinary figure in European history is in Magdeburg Cathedral in Germany and has recently been opened due to conservation concerns. Inside a wooden coffin was found containing a well-preserved skeleton along with textile remains. DNA analysis has confirmed without a shadow of doubt that this is Otto’s skeleton, and further research on his remains has revealed much about his life.

Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
